- THEA JARVIS The Love of Christ Ministries Eikenhof, Johannesburg South Africa Thea Jarvis is the Founder and CEO of The Love of Christ Ministries (TLC), a Children’s Home admitting and specialising in newborn, abandoned infants. TLC provides love and quality care to some 78 children by offering them a loving home whilst actively pursuing the provision of adoptive families who will nurture and guide each child throughout their lives. Where these endeavours fail, TLC gives such children long-term status of legitimate, ‘forever’ family members. Raised in Klerksdorp, South Africa, Thea now lives with her five biological children and 19 adopted children in Eikenhof, Johannesburg. Here, with the help of her four daughters and one son she continues to run a quality establishment for small babies who have been orphaned or abandoned at birth. Many of these children have special needs or are HIV Positive. In 1995, Thea wrote a book, “For the Love of Christ”. She has received several Awards over the past 18 years honouring her life’s work with TLC.
